ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR FAMILIARIZATION AND OPERATIONAL FUNDAMENTALS TRAINING
This 24-hour online instructor-led course provides participants with foundational knowledge and guided simulator-based practice in safe engine-room operations. The course covers propulsion machinery, auxiliary and electrical systems, operational procedures, watchkeeping, alarm management, troubleshooting, emergency response, and engine-room teamwork.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to identify major engine-room systems, navigate the simulator interface, conduct basic machinery preparation, start-up, operation and shutdown procedures, monitor operating parameters, maintain engine-room records, diagnose common alarms and faults, and apply safe and effective responses to simulated abnormal and emergency situations.
