Course Description
Oil and Chemical Tanker Safety Awareness Training
This course is designed to provide basic awareness and understanding of safety principles, hazards, and operational considerations associated with oil and chemical tanker operations. The program introduces participants to the fundamental characteristics of tanker cargoes, potential risks involved in tanker operations, and the importance of safe working practices onboard tanker vessels.
Participants will gain an overview of tanker terminology, cargo properties, hazard identification, pollution prevention measures, and personal safety responsibilities when working in or around oil and chemical tanker environments. The course emphasizes safety awareness, risk mitigation, and compliance with international maritime safety practices.
