Company Security Officer (CSO) Professional Training

This training program is designed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical understanding of maritime security management in accordance with the principles of the ISPS Code, SOLAS Chapter XI-2, and international maritime security best practices.

The course covers the roles and responsibilities of a Company Security Officer (CSO), ship security assessment, ship security planning, security communication, emergency response coordination, security drills, incident reporting, and implementation of maritime security procedures within shipping company operations.

This program is conducted as a professional development and familiarization training for maritime personnel, supervisors, and shore-based management involved in maritime security operations.

Upon successful completion of this training, participants are expected to be able to:

1. Understand the basic principles of maritime security and the ISPS Code.
2. Explain the roles and responsibilities of a Company Security Officer (CSO).
3. Understand the implementation of Ship Security Assessment (SSA) and Ship Security Plan (SSP).
4. Identify potential maritime security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
5. Apply security communication and coordination procedures between ship and shore personnel.
6. Understand security drills, exercises, and emergency response procedures.
7. Perform basic security reporting, documentation, and incident handling procedures.
8. Promote security awareness and safety culture within maritime operations.
