ENCLOSED SPACE ENTRY SAFETY TRAINING
This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to recognize enclosed space hazards and follow safe entry procedures aboard ships. It covers risk assessment, entry permits, atmospheric testing, isolation, ventilation, communication, and emergency preparedness through classroom learning and supervised practical exercises.
Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:
* Identify enclosed spaces and their atmospheric and physical hazards.
* Apply risk assessment, entry permit, isolation, and ventilation procedures.
* Demonstrate pre-use checks and safe use of atmospheric testing equipment.
* Explain the responsibilities of entrants, attendants, and responsible persons.
* Demonstrate safe entry, communication, monitoring, and withdrawal procedures.
* Explain emergency actions and rescue limitations without attempting an unplanned rescue.
